I do quite a bit of copywriting for my day job, and I’m convinced “Buzz Bars” is my best and worst work to date. To be honest, I just couldn’t decide what ingredient to highlight in the name of these, but they have honey (buzz buzz) and give you a buzz of energy. So let’s just say it works. These four ingredient bars are easy to make, dairy-free, and PERFECT for those of us with a sweet tooth. Here in the Northwest, we’re lucky to have many options for local honey, but your local farmer’s market is a sure-fire way to find this delicious nectar!
Prep It
- 2 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks
- 1/4 cup honey
Make It
Mix all ingredients in a medium-sized bowl. Place mix on one side of a large SilPat or sheet of parchment paper. Fold other half of the sheet over the mixture, and using a rolling pin, flatten to about ½ inch by rolling.
Place in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Once frozen, cut into bars. Wrap in beeswax paper or parchment paper and store in the fridge.
