Diaries from the Farmer’s Market, No. 3

This winter farmer’s market was a diamond in the rough! We went away for our anniversary weekend, and wanted to find a market since we were staying in farmland. Voila! We found the McMinnville Farmer’s Market at the Grange. Only one farm (from Corvallis) hosted a booth, but boy was it plentiful!

A traditional Hanukkah dish with the addition of calçots, which are a mix between a green and spring onion. Find the recipe here.

Limequats

Limequat Baked Salmon
We simply sliced limequats, placed them on top of the salmon, and seasoned with salt, pepper & oil. Then we baked for about 10 minutes at 425°F.

Limequat Scones
We adapted this Tasty recipe by using limequats instead of lemons, and skipping on the lavender!
